(US) Melissa Hathaway wants to follow through
Melissa Hathaway the "acting" director of Cyber Security in Obama's administration, has declared:
“How could you do a 60-day review and not be interested in following through on what you recommended,”
Clearly positioning herself as a candidate for the position of Director of Cyber-Security.

(Soft) Firewall and Antivirus
Very often I have been asked what kind of firewall and anti virus I should use on my windows computer.
Well, there is a plethora of software available, this is the very short list I usually recommend.
Friendly reminder: do not install two antivirus at the same time:
- AVG free (a good anti-virus) http://free.avg.com
- ClamWin (an opensource anti-virus) http://www.clamwin.com/
- Comodo (a good alternative to the default that comes with windows) http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
What next ? Well I think during the past last years I have collected few good either free or opensource software for various tasks, I will post them soon here.
